The specialty food of Vinh Phuc is Molasses cakes (Bánh Trùng Mật Mía). When visiting Vinh Phuc, I tried to ask many elders there about the origin of this cake, however all of them did not any answer about it. They just said that there was only the rich people at their time can eat it. The poor people can eat it on the festival or Luna New Year. The cake is mostly made by molasses, so it has a hard sweet flavor that exist long time on tongue of eaters. Moreover, this cake is can eat after one week. You may surprise with this food About Vietnam. However I think it is more delicious if you wait one week to enjoy after it is made.
