My blog has three main contents:

  • Introduction of Vietnamese Cuisine, the must-try ones when visiting Vietnam
  • How to cook Vietnamese dishes
  • Good restaurants to visit

Vietnamese food is one of the most varied and seductive on the planet – a delicious mix of the food of its colonial visitors and age-old native flavors and techniques. Many forces of climate, trade, history, and immigration have influenced Vietnamese cuisine.

I love food, everything about food. Especially, and of course, Vietnamese dishes have been an initial part of my life since I was a little child. I was inspired a lot by my Mom and my Aunt who has always tried to bring as much as of Vietnamese Cuisine into our daily life, to remind us about the homeland which is on the other side of the earth. From then, I have a strong desire to share, to promote the attraction and diversity of Vietnamese F&B, to help those who want to learn before coming to Vietnam (for traveling, working or living) or those Vietnamese people in foreign countries who want to cook their motherland’s dishes.

Vietnamese food not only is delicious, but it is also really healthy.

Low in fat, gluten-free and jam-packed with vitamins and minerals, it is the perfect food to boost your immune system, aid weight loss and give your energy. (And it’s pretty good at soaking up a hangover.)

The key ingredients used in Vietnamese cooking (along with the fish sauce, sugar and rice) are very similar to its closest neighbors, Thailand and Cambodia; yet Vietnamese cooking has a distinct style all of its own. It tends to be less spicy, lighter, fragrant and fresh. Meals are leisurely affairs, with many shared dishes served all at once. A typical meal may include a soup, rice, grilled or steamed meats, a vegetable dish, fresh fruit and salad, all placed on the table at once.

The recipes are collected from Internet sources, from my family’s and my own experience.

Take your taste buds on a trip to Vietnam with our collection of Vietnamese recipes. “You don’t have to go looking for great food in Vietnam. Great food finds you. It’s everywhere. In restaurants, cafes, little storefronts, in the streets; carried in makeshift portable kitchens on yokes borne by women vendors. Your cyclo-driver will invite you to his home; your guide will want to bring you to his favorite place. Strangers will rush up and offer you a taste of something they’re proud of and think you should know about. It’s a country filled with proud cooks – and passionate eaters”.

Thank you for visiting my blog! Hope you can have a great and useful time!
